Bundamba is a large suburb of City of Ipswich in Queensland, Australia. The suburb is located 35km from Brisbane and 6km from Ipswich. Bundamba is surrounded by a number of suburbs. The suburbs are North Tivoli, Karalee, Riverview, Ebbw Vale, New Chum, Blackstone, Silkstone, Booval, and North Booval. The suburb of Bundamba stretches from the Bremer River to the north, across Brisbane Road which is the main arterial link to the Ipswich Motorway and to the Cunningham Highway in the South. 

The suburb’s name originated from the Yugarabul Aboriginal which means “place of the stone ax”. It was initially written Bundumba then Bundanba until it was officially standardised as Bundamba in 1932. The Bundamba State School opened in 1873 while the Bundamba State High School opened in 1970. The state high school was renamed to Bundamba State Secondary School in 2003. 

The Bremer Institute of TAFE is also located in Bundamba. Parks and sports facilities include Ipswich Racecourse, Ipswich Knights Soccer Club, Ten Pin Bowling and Roller Skating Centre, Bundamba Swim Centre Public Pool, Rotary Park, and Alfred Seymour Park.
