Camira is a suburb in the City of Ipswich in Queensland, Australia. It is located approximately 25km from the Brisbane central business district. The suburbs surrounding Camira are Goodna, Gailes, Carole Park, Greenbank, Springfield Lakes, Springfield, and Bellbird Park. 

Camira adjoins the Greenbank Military Camp and Carole Park where an industrial estate is. The suburb got its name from an Aboriginal word that means “windy”. Contemporary maps indicated that Camira spread south and west of its present area, taking in numerous tributaries of the Woogaroo Creek. Those areas, however, have been detached and developed as Springfield, Springfield Lakes, and Augustine Heights.

 In 1972, the suburb was formally named and the Camira State School was opened in 1974. The suburb’s Aboriginal heritage is preserved by bora ring near Sandy Creek and on the south side of Kertes Road at its eastern end. Local shops are located on Old Logan Road and several parks along Sandy Creek which runs down from the military camp and northwards through Camira to Carole Park.
