Ellen Grove is an outer suburb of the City of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. The suburb is located 20km south-west of the Brisbane central business district. Gailes, Carole Park, Wacol, and Forest Lake are the other suburbs that surround Ellen Grove. 

The suburb was subdivided for housing in 1959 and got its name due to lobbying from the Ellen Grove Press Association. The owner of the original land, R.P. Spinks, had a daughter named Ellen. Ellen would often play with local aboriginals in a grove of trees along Bullockhead Creek. The area has since been called Ellen’s Grove. Ellen Grove’s southern boundary is partially marked by the Logan Motorway. 

The Centenary Highway passes through the suburb from North to South. The Richlands and Inala reservoirs were built in the suburb to increase water pressure for residents in the surrounding suburbs. The quiet suburb has one primary school and a small shopping center. It is serviced by a fortnightly visit to the Brisbane City Council’s mobile library service at the Carole Park State School.
