The west side of Enoggera is dominated by Enoggera Hill. The name of the suburb should actually be “Euogerra” but a spelling error was made at the Government Lands Office. “Euogerra” is a contraction of the Turrbal phrase “youara-ngarea” meaning “sing-play”.
Enoggera is home to the heritage listings Killarney at 9 Laurel Street and the Enoggera Memorial Hall. The suburb is also home to the Enoggera State School, the Hillbrook Anglican School, and Our Lady of The Assumption.
