Kurwongbah is a sparsely settled locality in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. The suburbs surrounding Kurwongbah are the following: Narangba, Dakabin, Kallangur, Petrie, Whiteside, and Rush Creek. Kurwongbah’s eastern boundary of the locality is roughly aligned with the North Coast railway line.

 In 1958, the Sideling Creek Dam was built in the southeast corner of the suburb, thus creating Lake Kurwongbah. The Lakeside International Raceway is located on the shores of the lake. A large quarry in the south is accessed by Dunlop Lane owned by Holcim. The name “Kurwonbah” is allegedly the Aboriginal name for the local Sideling Creek. 

The suburb is home to Kurwongbah State School which caters for students from Prep to Year Six. Kurwongbah is also home to a number of heritage listings including the North Pine Presbyterian Church on Dayboro Road and North Pine Pumping Station on Late Kurwongbah-Dayboro Road.
