Taigum is a northern suburb of the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is located 16km north of the Brisbane central business district and is surrounded by the following suburbs: Fitzgibbon, Bracken Ridge, Deagon, Boondall, Virginia, Geebung, Zillmere, and Carseldine. 

The suburb is bordered on its west and north sides by Cabbage Tree Creek and on the south by Beams Road, Zillmere. The suburb was originally known as Zillmere North but was later changed to Taigum in 1993. The suburb’s name was originally expressed as “Tygham” and was derived from an Aboriginal expression describing the Cabbage Tree Creek. Taigum’s first housing began in the 1970s. 

By 1982, a drive-in shopping centre on Beams Road. The shopping centre contained a supermarket along with a discount department store and 62 other shops. In the 2000s, about 25% of Taigum remained undeveloped, particularly around the nursing homes constructed by the Anglican Church.
