Chermside is a major suburb of the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The suburb is located 9km north of the city and is one of the fastest developing suburbs of Brisbane. Chermside is surrounded by the suburbs Aspley, Geebung, Wavell Heights, Kedron, Stafford, and Chermside West. The suburb, known as the mini central business district of Brisbane, is home to the largest Westfield shopping centre in Australia, which boasts a number of restaurants and many international exclusive brands. 

The suburb is one of the key destinations along Queensland Transport’s future Northern Busway. Westfield Chermside, the largest Westfield shopping centre in the whole country, has a 3-storey Myer and a 16 screen cinema complex. Chermside, together with Indooroopilly in the west, Carindale in the southeast, and Upper Mount Gravatt, on the southside, the area is regarded as the mini-CBD. 

The Northern Busway between the Royal Children’s Hospital and Windsor has been completed in 2009. An extra 3km of busway between Windsor and Kedron opened in mid-2012 with 2 new busway stations at Lutwyche and Kedron and Airport Link. Planning for the ultimate Northern Busway between Kedron and Bracken Ridge is being revised with stages subject to funding and government priority.
