Wishart is a suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and is located 14km southeast of the Brisbane central business district. The suburb is located between Upper Mount Gravatt and the Bulimba Creek. Bulimba Creek also flows through the suburb. Wishart is surrounded by suburbs Mount Gravatt East, Mansfield, Mackenzie, Rochedale, Eight Mile Plains, and Upper Mount Gravatt.

 In the 1960s, the emerging suburb was defined by a few streets near the Mount Gravatt South primary school, which opened in 1964. A few more streets were running between the Capalaba Road and Bulimba Creek. In 1967, the suburb was renamed to Wishart after an early European settler in the area. The Mount Gravatt South primary school was also renamed to Wishart. Parts of Wishart were developed by the Queensland Housing Commission. 

The Gateway Motorway was opened on the suburb’s western edge back when Wishart’s population was a third less than its present population. This more or less completed the suburb’s suite of modern facilities. A local shopping centre is also located in Wishart.
